Alternating Prone Superman

Target: Muscles of the Low Back (Erector Spinea and Multifidus)

Preparation
Lie on your stomach with outstretched arms and legs, ‘superman position.’

Execution
Raise your right arm and your left leg. Hold for 1 to 2 seconds. Lower and then raise your left arm and right leg. Repeat with other side again.

Comments
This may take a bit of coordination at first. Stick with it you will get the hang of it. You can also do this exercise on all fours. Make sure to keep your hips and upper torso square to the floor during the exercise.
