Dips (focus on Triceps)

Target Muscle: Triceps

For this exercise you will need access to parallel bars or grips. Hold yourself with straight arms abouve the bars. Bend knees slightly.

Lower body by bending arms. Keep your elbows in while also keeping your body upright.  When slight stretch is felt in chest or shoulders push body up until arms are straight. Focus on using your tricep muscles. Repeat.

Squeeze your triceps at the top of the movement to help focus on working the tricep muscles.

To make Easier – Use a dip assisted machine or have your training partner spot you by holding your legs.
To make Harder – Add weight by using a dip belt or placing a dumbbell between your ankles.
