Underhand Bent Over Barbell Row

Preparation
Bend knees slightly and bend over bar with back straight and the butt is sticking out. Grasp bar with a shoulder width underhand grip.

Execution
Pull the bar up toward your waist. Return until arms are extended and shoulders are stretched forward. When the bar is returning to the bottom position. Make sure the barbell is descending towards the feet. Repeat.

Comments
You can also do this exercise with a an overhand grip (see Bent Over Barbell Row). Do not swing or jerk the weight. Train the back not the ego. Keep the back flat to better target the upper back muscles.
