Lower Back Extensions (on mat)

Preparation
Lie flat on your stomach with your legs straight out behind you. Place the palms of your hands directly under you shoulders (‘I give up position’). Keep head down facing the floor.

Execution
Inhale, lifting the palms of your hands and chest off the floor. While lifting, squeeze your shoulder blades together and down. Hold for 2 seconds at the top of movement.

Comments
Too make this exercise more difficult outstretch your arms straight out above your head with palms of your hands facing the floor. Do not try and look up. This will place stress on your neck. Look down.
